Weekly wrap-up: Just a tad late edition

We’re a couple of days and several hours late, but regardless of that fact, we’ve got some of the top content from the past few days right here in our weekly wrap-up. Admittedly, I got caught up attending Comikaze Expo 2012 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. But now that I’ve decided to ignore the sleep that my body and mind desire, I figured I’d provide you with GameZone’s latest reviews, previews, and original content.

Reviews

[REC] 3: Genesis review (Movies)

Changing things up considerably since the last two movies in the series, [REC] 3 does little to provide horror movie buffs with a satisfying experience.

Mark of the Ninja review (Xbox 360)

If you’re looking for a polished 2D stealth action game, look no further. Mark of the Ninja is a more than worthy Xbox Live Arcade download.

Branded review (Movies)

While this flick starts off hot, the events that lead up to the ending are so busted that you’ll likely regret spending money on this one.

Ratchet and Clank HD Collection review (PS3)

Three incredible Sony platformers all available on one disc for $30. Yup, this compilation is pure win.

Record of Agarest War 2 review (PS3)

While the combat is interesting, the convoluted and long-drawn out story really gets in the way of what should have been a great JRPG.

Tekken Tag Tournament 2 review (Xbox 360, PS3)

Satisfying fighting gameplay and sexy visuals make this an all-out brawl worth bloodying your fists in.

NHL 13 Review (Xbox 360, PS3)

The best hockey title in years provides a sports game experience that can only be called groundbreaking. Well, it can also be called ice-shattering, I suppose.

Avengers Initiative review (iOS)

Think Infinity Blade, but with Marvel characters, which isn’t too shabby at all when you really think about it.

Space Holiday review (iOS)

If you’re looking for some space-themed puzzle-solving fun on your iOS device, look no further.

Double Dragon: Neon review (Xbox 360, PS3)

Double Dragon is back, mother b*itches, and it’s awesome. Like, totally awesome, dude! Seriously, dat ‘80s-inspired music!

NBA Baller Beats review (Xbox 360)

While not ideal if you live in an apartment above some other folks, NBA Baller Beats is still a fun title that puts your Kinect to good use.

Resident Evil: Retribution 3D review (Movies)

These movies need to stop existing.

The Last Story review (Wii)

This grand JRPG provides one of the most incredible storytelling and gameplay experiences of the year, not just on the Wii, but in the genre and across all platforms.
